Whoever said destiny walks a straight line has never felt the current beneath their feet…
or the weight of surrender in their chest.

1739
Book One of the Threads and Thresholds Series
When Hollis Anderson touches a red door in modern Charleston she doesn’t just lose her way — she loses her century. Thrown into 1739 Charles Town she proposes marriage to a stranger on the second day. To her surprise he agrees.
What begins as survival becomes something neither of them planned for — recognition. Two people who see the world as a game of power and perception, and who discover they share the same capacity for darkness.
And the ancient intelligence that brought them together isn’t finished with them yet.
About Morgan
Morgan Lee Yager studied Historic Preservation and Community Planning at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, the setting of 1739. She never intended to write a novel. Then a red door appeared and the story refused to leave.
She writes historical fiction with mythic edges, morally complex characters, and love stories sharp enough to draw blood. 1739 is her debut novel.
