How to use Trello to keep you Organized: Basics admin, June 24, 2020June 25, 2020 For those of you who are not familiar with Trello, Trello is a List-Making Application that can be utilized to help organize projects, tasks, and to-do lists for everything you have going on in your business! Within the application, you can create countless vertical side by side lists. On each list you can add a ‘card’ – a ‘card’ represents a task or project. Lists are set up and I have added all the To-Do items I have for my business and my clients in one place! How to use Trello as a Basic To-Do List – Task Manager To use Trello to manage your tasks I would recommend creating 4 Lists to start: To-Do: On this list add all of your to-dosToday: Drag and Drop cards from your To-Do list to your Today list to help you track what you wish to accomplish each dayThis Week: Utilize this List to gain clarity on what must be accomplished this weekCompleted Week of: DATE: Once a task is completed drag and drop the task card to your completed listThis will help you keep track of what you accomplish each week.At the end of each week, make a new list for your completed tasks for the coming weekYou can Archive the Completed Lists and just keep the current list openYou can refer back to your achieved items in your settings I have organized my tasks/Trello cards and now I have a clear vision on what I am working on today, this week, and beyond. Additional Trello Tip! Add More Detail – Get more clarity! Within each card you are able to ADD TO CARD: Add “Members” : Assign additional team members to a taskAdd “Labels” : A clever way to color code and categorize your work and to-do’s!Add a “Due Date”: For further accountability, these can be set with reminders as wellAdd a “Checklist”: Add a checklist with % completed tracker to any taskAdd “Attachments”: If a task requires reference to a document, excel, email or so on attach itAdd “Cover”: Adding a Cover will make a more distinctive label on top of the Task Card Adding Labels to a Task/Trello Card. Click on the Label to add it to the card. Click on the pencil icon on the right to add a description to the Label. Want to learn more about how you can use Trello to get you organized?
