When to Outsource admin, June 10, 2020June 24, 2020 There comes a point when all small business owners and entrepreneurs alike can no longer manage their business on their own. Congrats! This means your business is thriving or right on the cusp of really taking off! But before you take the full plunge and hire your first full time employee – hiring a virtual assistant is the perfect first step. How do you know if you are at this point? Before I begin working with a client I always encourage them to work through the following exercise. 1. What is on your plate? Make a list of all the things you need to do including all the things you wish you had the time to do. 2. Go through that list and determine the ‘who’ for each task. Beside each task that you yourself must do make a check. Beside every task that someone else could be doing for you put a star. 3. Prioritize those stared tasks. If you could only take one task off your plate , what would that be? What would be your second task and so on. 4. Once you have properly evaluated your needs as a business owner consider how much time those tasks might take an individual. Do they add up to a full-time position of 40 hours a week, 160 hours a month?? In most cases, they don’t and that is where online service providers come to the rescue! Many online service providers will offer custom package pricing that will specifically fit your needs. This is a smart financial investment as you are able to just pay for the help you need and not have to cover the additional expenses that come with hiring a full-time employee such as health insurance, taxes, or any retirement savings.
